The Beast is here!

Hello, and happy summer! (Or winter, for those of you south of the equator.) I wanted to let you know about my series sale and today’s new release.

“The Beast,” the seventh book in my Mystery Babylon series, is now available for download. Paperbacks should be out in a few days, with audio to follow later. Here’s the scoop:

When the world falls apart, the beast rises.

Reeling from the devastation of two failed wars, Russia inaugurates a new president. Before the day is over, an international assassin moves to take her out. Can Marina Orlova survive long enough to keep her country together? Or will the rising antichrist pull her country into his beastly plans?

In Israel, Mao Wu Ying finds himself in a difficult predicament. As the beast comes to power, a new digital currency is imposed, and dissent is quashed. Can Wu Ying and his Christian friends find a way to survive and evade this oppressive system?

Meanwhile, on Alaska’s remote Patmosa Island, assailants put Sierra Forester’s life in grave danger. Can Austin Martin and his neighbors find and rescue her before it’s too late? Or will Austin lose the love of his life?

Read THE BEAST, the seventh book in the thrilling Mystery Babylon series, to find out!

To celebrate the release of this new novel, all of the previous books in the series are heavily discounted. For a limited time, the first three books in the series are only 99 cents each, while books 4 through 6 are marked down to $2.99 each. If you haven’t read the series, jump in now. Or if you have, please let a friend know about this blockbuster sale. Thanks!

For those who prefer audio, books 1-6 are all available on Audible, while “The Beast” is currently with my narrator and I expect it to be available mid-summer.

Thank you for your support. Have a happy day!

THE GAZELLE launches early!

Hello, reader friends! I hope your summer is going great (or winter, for those of you south of the equator). Mine has been busy but blessed.

I’m delighted to announce the launch date for THE GAZELLE, the fifth book in the Mystery Babylon series, has been moved up from late September to next week! August 15, to be exact. So if you’ve pre-ordered the e-book, you’ll be receiving it soon.

Paperbacks should be available about the same time, or possibly a few days later. Audio isn’t expected until this autumn. My narrator for this series has been dealing with a health issue, and has a backlog of books to produce. But it will be worth waiting for – she’s so talented with all the character voices in the Mystery Babylon series!

Are you wondering what comes after this book? So am I. When I find out, I’ll let you know here on the blog, or in my newsletter. In the comments section, you can let me know what you’d like to read next. I’m always interested in your input.

Until next time, be blessed, my friends!

Jamie

Surprise! New book out next week!

Hello, everyone! Sorry for the long silence… I’m still here, and I’ve been busy. I’m happy to announce that I’ve been working on a surprise fourth book in the Mystery Babylon series, and it’s ready to roll out. THE LION is on pre-order for next week on Amazon, and here’s what it’s about:

Who will live, and who will die?

In the aftermath of a global war, the survivors on an isolated Southeast Alaskan island struggle to cope. But as Sierra Forrester and Austin Martin piece their lives back together, a new danger sails into their harbor. Can the islanders defend themselves from well-armed, trained and hungry interlopers?

Meanwhile, Wu Ying runs into serious complications in his efforts to escape China with his new Christian friends. Will he be able to leave the war-torn country, or will his attempts be thwarted? Failure could leave him destitute and trapped in a dangerous, radioactive landscape.

In Russia, Major General Ivan Orlov learns that the president’s beautiful teenage granddaughter suffered a horrific death in the aftermath of the war, and Ivan’s family is implicated in the tragedy. Can he clear their name before retribution is served on his household? Read THE LION to find out.

I hope you enjoy the story! May the Lord bless you and keep you, and cause His face shine upon you as you follow Him.

Tribulation Series launches this week!

I’m delighted to introduce my new Tribulation Series with the launch of the first book, SAINTS, this week.

As tribulation engulfs the world, Grace Winslow does her best to prepare for the inevitable persecution. When she gets word that government agents are arresting the remaining Christians, she’s ready to run. Or so she thought.

Grace flees to the mountains with her aunt, intending to join a small group of Christians who would face imprisonment or death at home. But as troubles grow into conflicts, living with strangers in a survival crisis proves far more difficult than she’d imagined.

The newest member of the group, Maxwell Flynn, finds himself both captivated and repelled by Grace. But he doesn’t have much time for her – he’s focused on protecting his little brother, an unusual boy with a devotion to God… and a strong tendency toward accidents.

Their daring escape is full of perils. Will the new group be captured or succumb to the wilderness? Can they find a way to carve out a tenuous existence in the dangerous new world?

SAINTS is the first book in the suspense-filled, post-apocalyptic TRIBULATION series. Like all books by Jamie Lee Grey, it’s a faith-based, clean read. Join the adventure today!

Letting peace guard our hearts and minds

Dear friends,

What a year this has been! Our nation, and the whole world, began to feel the trouble and turmoil of the “beginning of sorrows” Jesus spoke of in Matthew chapter 24. The world is changing, and not for the better. Difficulty lies ahead. While Christians will experience suffering, we have nothing to fear, because His perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18).

As a new year dawns, with all its unknowns, let’s take our guidance and encouragement from Philippians chapter 4, verses 4-8 (below in the New King James Version):

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!

Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

How are we to enjoy that complete peace? Through prayer and praise to the almighty God. By letting our requests be made known to Him by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving.

Friends, if you could use more peace in your hearts, if you want perfect peace to guard your minds, turn to Jesus. He will grant you not only peace, but also joy – in spite of whatever circumstance you may find yourself in this year. I pray that this will be the year we give Him our troubles and embrace His perfect peace.

May God bless you as you follow Him.

Jamie

P.S. Quick book news: my newest novel, Saints, the first book in the Tribulation series, is set for release on January 28th.  It follows the familiar themes of my Band of Believers series. I hope you’ll enjoy it.

A victory garden and a new book

Dear friends,

I pray you are growing closer to the Lord during this tumultuous time. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful and loving Heavenly Father!

In World War II, folks in the United States and Europe were encouraged to grow as much produce as they could in what came to be known as “victory gardens.” They supplemented home rations, boosted morale, and relieved a burdened public food supply chain.

This February, I told my brother I had planted veggie seeds because I didn’t want to buy grocery store lettuce that had been handled, coughed and sneezed on by folks with the virus. My farmer brother told his friends, “if my sister’s growing food, everybody should grow food!”  I laughed about this all the way through March, as I tried not to kill too many of my fragile lettuce and tomato starts. I’ve never thought I had a green thumb.

So far, the tomatoes, spinach and peppers have all survived, and most of the lettuce. Our Great Dane did “thin” the lettuce one day… that dog does love her salad!

Those of you who have read my Band of Believers series will recall that Willow and her friends were intently focused on gardening to provide food for themselves. I think it’s a useful hobby that all of us can learn for hard times.

And speaking of books… some of you have been patiently waiting for the fifth book in my Daughter of Babylon series. Well, “D.C.” is now available on Amazon! I hope you enjoy it.

In closing, I want to encourage you to stay close to the Lord. If the world seems to shift under your feet, remember, He is the solid rock! Make your life’s firm foundation on Him.

Blessings and prayers,

Jamie
